{"id":6244,"date":"2026-02-19T09:47:25","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T09:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ltimmerman.nl\/?p=6244"},"modified":"2026-02-19T09:47:55","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T09:47:55","slug":"restoration-fountain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ltimmerman.nl\/en\/nieuws-en\/restoration-fountain\/","title":{"rendered":"Restoration fountain and water tap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"263\">Commissioned by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlissingen.nl\/\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gemeente Vlissingen<\/span><\/span><\/a>, we have completed the restoration of the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Betje Wolff<\/span><\/span> fountain at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Bellamypark<\/span><\/span> and the public water tap at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Boulevard Evertsen<\/span><\/span> (near Pier 7). As part of the dismantling works, we renewed and, where necessary, modified the complete piping system of the fountain structure. The mounting points were also redesigned and reinforced to ensure the pipework remains securely and reliably fixed for years to come.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"460\">In addition, we modified and renewed various supports that connect the components. This not only improves the structural integrity but also results in a safer and more maintenance-friendly setup. The lighting installation was fully overhauled: brackets were replaced and the cabling completely renewed. As a result, the lighting now operates optimally and is prepared for long-term, trouble-free use.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"964\">Furthermore, all water supply connections were adjusted. The fountain and the water tap were fully blasted, carefully primed, and spray-painted in their original color. These distinctive elements of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Vlissingen<\/span><\/span> have therefore been restored both technically and visually.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"1180\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">With these extensive works completed, these icons of Vlissingen have been made future-proof in both appearance and functionality \u2014 ready to remain a recognizable and beloved part of the city for many years to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Commissioned by the Gemeente Vlissingen, we have completed the restoration of the Betje Wolff fountain at Bellamypark and the public water tap at Boulevard Evertsen (near Pier 7).
